Mel Ramos (born July 24, 1935 in Sacramento, California as Melvin John Ramos, † October 14, 2018 in Oakland, California) was an American artist and is considered an important representative of Pop Art.

The work of the painter and graphic artist is part of the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. He lived and worked in the city of Oakland, California and in the Horta de Sant Joan community in Spain.
