Bojana Wiegand

Bojana Wiegand was born in Banja Luka (Bosnia / Herzegovina) in 1987.
She spent her childhood, which was marked by the war in her home country, with her grandparents before she moved to Germany at the age of 11 to live with her mother, who had to flee during the war.
Since the profession of an artist was never considered a “real profession” in her home country, this option was initially out of the question for her. After graduating from school, she decided to train as a nurse for the elderly, which she successfully completed. Her profession became her passion, so that Bojana continued her education and at the young age of 25 she was already able to take over a management position in the nursing service of a large institution.
After a long period of hesitation, the young Bosnian decided to follow her original passion again in 2019 and made art her profession.
Her art reflects her life’s journey, which for a long time was marked by self-doubt, disappointments and fears in everyday life.
Today she knows that confidence in her own abilities and inner satisfaction are not dependent on other people or things. This realisation finally formed the intention for her art: ARTISTIC INTENTION ART FOR PEOPLE WHO RECOGNISE THEIR NEEDS AND WANT TO HAVE THEM AROUND THEM EVERY DAY.
Bojana Wiegand’s art is meant to remind the viewer daily of who they really are, so that they can self-determine what is really important to them personally in life.
